Lytec 2008 uses Microsoft SQL Server 2000 as its database backend, moving away from Pervasive.SQL V8.

Before downloading the demonstration version, you must read and accept your responsibility when downloading software from this Web site and installing the software on your computer.

Terms and Conditions of Downloaded Software

Warning! TCN highly recommends the Lytec 2008 Demonstration Version not be installed on a computer that is regularly used with any other version of the Lytec Practice Management Software. This includes the database server. Lytec 2008 includes the latest version of Pervasive (database software), which, if installed, will update your existing version, causing your current version of Lytec to malfunction.

Caution! Converting your existing practice files You may convert your practice files, but be sure you convert a copy of the practice files, not the original ones!

The Lytec 2008 conversion process moves the existing practice files to an alternate folder. By converting a copy of the practice files, you ensure that the existing practice files are not disturbed.
